Setting a Weight Distribution System On 2018 Ford F-150 with In-Bed Camper
Question:
I bought the equalizer weight distribution hitch. Towing a loaded utility trailer. My question is should I set up after the truck k camper is in place or before . When I lower camper on to Truck it lowers the hitch my thought is set up while the camper is on the Truck because the goal is to distribute the weight of the trailer not the camper.

Expert Reply:
The weight of the cargo in the truck bed behind the axle will get factored into a weight distribution system so you will want to set the system with the truck loaded. That said, you'll likely want to consider extra support for an in-bed camper, the Timbren Suspension Enhancement System part # TFRTT1504E is designed for this exact purpose. You then might want to consider a higher rated weight distribution system to account for the extra weight but since there isn't exact an exact formula for this, much of your setup will be playing with different settings and setups.
