Jounce Suspension Enhancement Springs on a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado w/ 6 Inch Lift
Question:
I have a 2005 Chevy Silverado 1500 extended cab 4 door four wheel drive truck. I would like to put a pair of the Timbren bump stops on the rear axle but I’m not sure what I need for a truck with a six inch lift. If you know what is needed please let me know. Thanks

For your 2005 Chevrolet Silverado we have the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System item # TGMRTT15S. These have a 7,000 lbs capacity and the hollow rubber springs sit above the rear axle to help stabilize and level your Silverado. To accomadate the gap caused by your six inch lift you will need the Timbren 1" Spacer For Raised Frame Vehicles item # A25723-90AH00. The recommended gap between the bottom of the jounce bumper and top of the contact point is 1" but you can have a larger gap if you don't want them to engage as soon or as often. For a lifted truck you'll need to use spacers to get the gap down to where you want it or the recommended 1". Depending on the amount of spacers you use will determine what length but you will need to purchase two grade 5 Fine Thread UNC bolts from your local hardware store.
