To flat tow your 2018 Jeep Cherokee Trail Hawk you will need at least 5 parts. These 5 parts are a base plate kit, tow bar, tow bar wiring, safety chains and a supplemental braking system. You may need additional parts depending on what is recommended in the owners manual for your Cherokee Trail Hawk. I have included a recommendation for each part below that is compatible with your 2018 Jeep Cherokee Trail Hawk and a brief description of the purpose it serves.
Base Plate Kit: This is a custom fit part for your Trail Hawk and is what the tow bar coming from the RV will attach too. I recommend the Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # RM-521446-5 which is made in the USA and has a limited Lifetime Warranty.
Tow Bar: This is what will attach to the RV and then to the base plate kit. I recommend the Roadmaster Nighthawk All Terrain, Non-Binding Tow Bar # RM-676 which is made in the USA and has a limited lifetime warranty. Supplemental Braking System: This is what will allow you to travel with and safely stop your Trail Hawk while flat towing. I recommend the Demco Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System # DM86VR. This is made in the USA and will provide you with an automatic, proportional braking system that never has to be removed, replaced, or reset.
