Troubleshooting Running Lights not Functions with a Cargo Carrier Light Kit # 20174
Question:
There seems to be a recurring theme here with the running lights on the wiring harness and its hookup to the light package for the cargo carrier. I am using light 20174 and the Pollak 7 pole to 4 pole adapter. Installation couldnt be easier but running lights do not work. 118253 wiring for Pilot went in without a hitch also. All new..... all cleanly installed....... no running lights........what gives?????

The first thing I would recommend you do is test the running light circuit of your 7-way minus any of the adapters to determine if there is voltage there and then put the adapter on and test the running light circuit there also. This will tell you if the problem happens to be on the wiring or adapter.
If the voltage is good then the problem lies somewhere in the # 20174 wiring.
