MaxxAir 4961KS Motor Runs After Lid Is Closed And Makes Clicking Sound

Question:

I have a MAXXIR 4951KS and the operator was making a stripping noise when reaching the end of the opening and closing sequence. I bought a new operator from etrailer and replaced it. The new one does the same thing so now Im sure its stripped too. After the lid reaches full open or full close the motor continues to run for about 10 seconds. What is the fix for this. I dont want to purchase another operator if the same thing is going to happen. Thanks!

Typically after a MaxxAir unit has been used for a few years, it's fairly common to hear the "stripping" sound you're hearing. This means the lift operator mechanism # MA10-20281K-1AF, is going and needs to be replaced. Since, you've already replaced this part and the issue is still occurring, you may need to replace your circuit board with # MA10A04751KS.
