Can Firestone Air Bags Be Installed On My Lifted 2022 Ford F-250 To Help With Sag While Towing

Question:

I am getting some sag in the back of my 2022 F-250 Super Duty when I pull my 5th wheel camper and want to get the Firestone Red Label F36ZR put on to help. The only thing is, I have a 3" lift. Can I still install these?

I will start by saying the Firestone Ride-Rite Red Label Extreme Duty Air Helper Springs # F36ZR is definitely the correct set for your 2022 Ford F-250 and it will have no problems fitting with an in-bed hitch, so you are good there. However, the 3" lift does complicate things a little. This absolutely does not mean you cannot install this. It does mean you will need to get the upper and lower brackets install and then take a measurement though. The distance between these brackets will tell you which spacer you will need to get the bag fitting properly and I have the distances and spacer part numbers listed below.

6 1/2 to 7 1/2 - # F2536
7 1/2 to 8 1/2 - # F2366
8 1/2 to 9 1/2 - # F2367 (typical for trucks with a 3" lift)
9 1/2 to 10 1/2 - # F2370
11 1/2 to 12 1/2 - # F2374

One potential add-on to this set up will be a compressor system. The Firestone Air Command II # F2219 compressor system comes very highly recommended and not only allows you to adjust the air bags on the fly, but you can actually inflate and deflate each bag individually to completely level everything out. It is something I would go with if I added air bags to my truck.
