I have a great solution for you. Even though we do not carry the Thule T2 Classic models of bike rack, I did find specs from Thule about the maximum wheelbase of the T2 Classic 2. The maximum wheelbase you can use to load on the rack is 49 inches long. The specs I have available for your Townie GO! 8D EQ Step-Thru put your bike's wheelbase at 47 inches. With these measurements, your bike will fit the T2 Classic 2. Also, even with the 49.5 pounds of the bike, it is compatible with the 60-pound per-bike weight capacity of the T2 Classic 2.

Unfortunately, we stopped carrying the T2 Classic 2 and 4 here at etrailer. However, we do have a great alternative. That is the RockyMounts MonoRail - 2" # RKY10004. This rack provides you with the wheelbase length and weight capacity you need. Also, this rack is perfect for your 26" tires without fenders.

With the MonoRail, you will need a hitch receiver. In order to provide you with the best hitch recommendation, please respond to this answer with your year/make/model of vehicle.
