Recommended Timbren Suspension Enhancement For 2008 Dodge Ram 3500 With Salt Spreader

Question:

Hi, I Have a 2008 Dodge ram 3500 4x4 dually with the factory overload helper spring. I use the truck for plowing and a salt spreader in the winter. I cant decide which kit to use. DR3500CA or the severe service DRTT3500D. I was reading reviews and Im worried the severe service kit will ruin the ride quality as truck is empty all summer.

Based on the fact that you are concerned about the ride quality, and you keep the truck unloaded in the summer, I would recommend the # TDR3500CA over the severe duty # T94VR. The # TDR3500CA still has a high capacity at 8,600 lbs for your salt spreader but does not have the same Severe Service kit designation and design as the # T94VR. It is likely you will still see some difference compared to before the installation of the jounce-style springs, but it will not have the same impact as the severe service kit.

This system will help increase stability and decrease sag when you have your salt spreader on the truck. It will also help to extend the life of your suspension. The springs work progressively, so the more they compress the more resistance will increase.

I have attached an installation video for your reference.
