Recommended Way To Supply Power To The Bulldog Powered-Drive Kit BD1824200100
Question:
Does bd1824200100 have to have it’s own battery or can you use power wire in trailer harness
asked by: Mike H
Helpful Expert Reply:
The Bulldog Powered-Drive Kit # BD1824200100 is intended to either be wired to the 12 volt power wire coming from the 7 Way and/or hooked to a 12 volt battery. This does not have to be a battery designated for the use of this. However, if you were going to be using your jack while not connected to the vehicle, you will need to add a battery specifically for this set up. It is always better to have a battery whose sole purpose is for a break away kit so you know it is always charged, so we do not recommend tapping into that battery for the use of any accessory.
