Will 2 Bikes and a Cargo Box Fit on a Thule Roof Rack on a 2008 Mercedes Benz E350 Wagon
Question:
I have Thule square cross bars installed on my MB factory rails and TWO Thule Echelon 518 bike carriers. Are there ANY options for a cargo box/carrier that could be installed on these rails along WITH my existing Echelon 518 bike carriers on my 2008 Mercedes Benz E350 WAGON.

Helpful Expert Reply:
The Thule bars on your 2008 Mercedes E350 wagon should be around 50 inches long. If you alternate directions on the bikes which is permissible you can get a few extra inches of space on the rack for a cargo box. The narrowest box that will fit without rear hatch interference is the Pulse L, # TH615 at 35 inches wide. You will need to determine if there is 35 inches of useable space on the crossbars with the bikes loaded.
Also you will need to make sure you stay within the weight capacity of the roof rack and vehicle roof. The side rails should have a sticker on them listing the capacity or the information should be in the owners manual. I have linked a video review of this box for you.
