How To Install HBA-CAM on Trailer With Dexter Electric Over Hydraulic Brake Actuator

Do you know how to install a Hydrastar adapter HBA-CAM on a Dexter trailer brake actuator, I have a 2013 Chevy 2500.

The # HBA-CAM is designed to be used with a Gen 6 or later HydraStar electric-over-hydraulic brake actuator. That being said, we have heard of people using the # HBA-CAM with Dexter actuators but there is no guarantee that this will work.
In order to install the # HBA-CAM, you will need to start by splicing the white wire into the ground lead on your actuator. Once this is done, splice the blue wire coming from the # HBA-CAM to the blue wire coming from the actuator as well as the brake controller output wire from the tow vehicle.
For a solution that is guaranteed to work, I recommend an aftermarket brake controller that is compatible with electric over hydraulic like the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195.
