i have 2008 ford fx4 truck just bought toy hauler that has 1126 hitch weight. need weight distribution and sway bar.what do you recommend.and do you have instock

We have quite a few options available for your 2008 Ford F-150 FX4 to pull your new toy hauler. The 1,126 pound tongue weight of said toy hauler will not be an issue at all and I have 3 options listed below. The first one will be a budget option, the second will be a mid range option, and the third one will be a top of the line option.

First, the Curt MV Weight Distribution System # C17057 will have a weight range of 1,000 pounds at the minimum and 1,400 pounds at the max. This will work perfectly with your trailer, but it does only offer weight distribution. To add sway control to this system, you will also need the Curt Friction Sway Control # 17200. This will help with sway when it starts, but will require drilling into the frame of your trailer to get it attached and will need to be disconnected before you back up. If you don't mid doing this, it is a very good option. Especially for the price. You will also need the # C40030 ball to complete this set up.

Second will be the Blue Ox TrackPro Weight Distribution w/ Sway Control # BLU35FR. This will have a weight range of 1,000 pounds up to 1,300 pounds and again will handle your trailer's weight perfectly. With the L-brackets that attach to the frame, it will keep the spring bars in place for a rigid system that holds trailer in line. This will help prevent sway instead of reducing it when it happens. This system will require no drilling and will not need to be disconnected when you need to reverse. For a mid range priced system that needs no other parts to complete the set up, this would be a great option.

Third will be the Reese Strait-Line Weight Distribution w/ Sway Control # RP66130. This has the best weight range going from 800 pounds up to 1,500 pounds, putting you directly in the middle of its capacities, which is the perfect place to be. This also has kind of a hybrid chain system that will use their cam system to prevent sway. I've actually used one of these before and you can feel it trying to pull the trailer straight when not in line with the truck. This cam system does not need to be disconnected when reversing either, but will require drilling into the trailer frame though, and it does not include a ball ( # C40030) or a shank, like the # RP63971. So will this option be expensive? Yes it will. Will it do a great job? Absolutely.
