Trailer Wiring Recommendation for 2010 Toyota Tacoma that Doesnt Require Splicing

Question:

I do not have an adapter plug for this. I need to hardwire a 4 flat female end to my truck. And for the life of me, I cant find a diagram that is straightforward enough to tell me which wire is the blinker, the back up, and ruining lights. I wanted to save the effort in identifying the colors myself with a meter, so I hope you guys can tell me what colors do what for a 2010 toyota tacoma 4 cylinder tail light. Thank you! ??

Since the stoplights and turn signals of your 2010 Toyota Tacoma are on separate circuits and trailer wiring has them on the same circuit you would not be able to just hardwire a 4-way harness to your vehicle's taillight circuits as a converter box would be needed. So the good news is that you could use the Tekonsha kit part # 118496 which plugs inline with your trailer taillight connectors to install and doesn't not require any splicing or circuit testing to install. I recommend the Tekonsha kits the highest as they have the most reliable converter boxes.

I attached an install video for this on a similar Tacoma for you to check out as well.
