Will the Demco Recon Gooseneck-to-5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter Work with Lippert Turning Point
Question:
Several questions… Will this product work on this pictured hitch, with the factory ribbed, spray-lined bed floor of my 2004 F-250 Super Duty truck? Will this work with a Grand Design RV 5th Wheel Turning Point Swivel Pin Box that is bolted/locked into the conventional 5th wheel configuration and NOT adjusted to allow for the pivot to be further back for short bed trucks? If the base merely attaches to the gooseneck ball, what keeps the base of this adaptor from turning on the floor of the truck bed? Thanks for the replies.

The Demco Recon Gooseneck-to-5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter part # DM8550045 can only be used with rotating pin boxes like the Reese Revolution/Sidewinder or Lippert Turning Point if they have been locked out. This usually entails placing a few bolts through the turret so it can no longer rotate but so long as this has been done you can indeed use the the hitch with a rotating pin box.
In regards to the spray-in bed liner, this won't be an issue at all, you just need to make sure the distance from the top of the bed to the top of the ball does not exceed 5". In regards to pivoting, friction from the the weight of the trailer is what keeps the hitch from pivoting on the ball.
