Question:
Does this kit include every thing needed to put brakes on axle? I have just bare axle with nothing on it.

The Dexter Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly # 42866UC3-EZ comes with everything you need to add a hub and drum to your axle. Assuming you get this hub and drum assembly, and your axle has a brake flange, you will also need to add brakes that fit. I recommend the Dexter Electric Trailer Brake Assembly # 23-180 for the left hand and # 23-181 for the right hand.
If you don't already have wiring, you will also need to run some wire like the # 10-1-1 if you want to add electric brakes. For a breakaway kit, I recommend the Tekonsha Push-To-Test Trailer Breakaway Kit with Built-In Battery Charger # 50-85-313
I have attached some helpful articles on adding brakes to a trailer which includes everything you need, along with some installation videos for your reference.
