Options to Tow 5th Wheel Trailer With Recessed Gooseneck 1-1/2 Inches Below Bed
Question:
Gooseneck to 5th wheel. I have a Dodge Ram 3500 with a recessed gooseneck 2-5/16 inch ball recessed 1.5 inch below the bed. What adapter will I need to be able to connect to a 5th wheel hitch. I have not purchased a 5th wheel hitch as yet.

With a gooseneck ball recessed that deep, there is really only one option that will allow you to tow a 5th wheel trailer, and that is the Convert-A-Ball Cushioned 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Adapter # CAB-C5G.
The # CAB-C5G has a specific height it requires, as the distance from the top of your gooseneck ball to the base of the king pin box must be between 12" and 16" for this adapter to work.
