Recommended Fifth Wheel Hitch For A 2017 F-250 Pulling A New Grand Design Reflection

I have a 2017 F250 6 3/4 bed with OEM puck system and need to purchase a fifth wheel hitch. My camper is a 2022 Grand Design Reflection 150 Series 268BH with the 90 degree turning point swivel box. What would be my best option?

With your 2022 Grand Design Reflection 150 Series 268BH having the Turning Point pin box, you will have a few options for a sliding hitch. However, I do recommend fixed hitches with the Turning Point pin box and we do have some great options available for your 2017 Ford F-250.

If you do decide to go with a sliding option, the B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w Slider for Ford Towing Prep Package # BWRVK3370 will be a great option. This is rated up to 20,000 pounds and has 12" of travel. But, you have to use the Custom Wedge for B&W Fifth Wheels # SWW-06, or the wedge that came included with your camper. These will lock the pin box in place and prevent them from turning while in use.

With that said, the best fixed hitch we currently have available will be the B&W Companion OEM 5th-Wheel Hitch for Ford Super Duty Prep Package - Dual Jaw # BWRVK3300. This will attach directly to your factory pucks and will get you 20,000 pounds of towing capacity. The fully articulating head will hookup a lot easier and helps to limit chucking while in use. The height is also adjustable from 16-3/4" to 18-3/4" and should have absolutely no issue clearing your bed rails.

These may be a little overkill for your Grand Design as it weighs right at 10,000 pounds, but these American made hitches are pretty bullet proof and are the hitch I would go with if I was choosing a 5th wheel hitch.

The Curt Q25 fifth wheel hitch part #C16265 that you referenced will fit on the rails that a Curt X5 adapter would provide. Like you mentioned you'd need to keep the weight of the towing setup below the weight rating of the X5.
