For your 2016 Forest River Surveyor I am going to recommend the Reese Strait-Line Weight Distribution System # RP66084. As you did not list your exact model I checked the models with your dry weight and I believe that you either have a 285IKDS(713lbs tongue weight) or 32RKDS(849lbs tongue weight). The tongue weight is the important number to consider when selecting your weight distribution hitch. The Reese Straight-Line that I recommend is compatible with tongue weights from 700-1200lbs. So by the time you load all your gear this hitch will not be overloaded. The Reese Straight-Line also has a built in sway control that doesn't need to be removed when backing up.
You will need a 1-7/8" 12pt Thin Walled Socket # ALL643216 to install a 2-5/16" Hitch Ball # C40030 onto the hitch head for the Reese Strait-Line weight distribution hitch.
