Recommended Air Bag Rear Suspension Enhancement For a 2022 GMC Sierra 2500HD

I just picked up my new 2022 GMC Sierra 2500HD and I am curious what set of Air Bags I should install. I see that there are several from both Air Lift and Firestone available. Which set do you recommend?

I recommend the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate Plus Air Springs # AL88341 for your 2022 GMC Sierra 2500HD unless you have the factory air ride installed on your Sierra. This system has an internal jounce bumper that will help to stabilize your suspension when you are loaded with weight and can protect the air bags if they become underinflated. The air bags are rated at 5,000lbs of support, this will not increase your weight capacity but rather help prevent your truck from sagging in the rear with additional weight in the bed or when towing. The hardware, roll plates and air lines are stainless steel for superior corrosion resistance.

If your Sierra does include the factory air ride suspension system you will want the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs # AL57341. This kit does not have the jounce spring or stainless steel components but it does have the same 5,000lbs of support.

With either set of air bags the Air Lift WirelessAIR Compressor System # AL74000EZ will allow you to have an on board compressor and be able to adjust the air pressure with either the included wireless remote or you can use your smartphone and the Air Lift app. The smart compressor will also monitor the air pressure for you as you drive to ensure that the air pressure in the air bags stays within 3psi of your settings. This allows you to keep your focus on the road and not worried about the air bags.
