Trailer Hitch and Towing Accessories Recommended for 2021 Toyota RAV4
Question:
I'm undecided between the Curt C13416 and the etrailer Class 3 hitches for my 2021 Toyota RAV4. Which one is recommended?

The Curt # C13416 and etrailer # e23ZR are very similar in appearance. The etrailer item # e23ZR has a higher tongue weight capacity at 675 lbs versus 600 lbs for the Curt, but due to the lower towing/tongue weight capacity of the vehicle which on vehicles with the tow package is 3500/385 lbs respectively, the tongue weight capacity differences between the two is moot, because you'll be limited by the capacity of the vehicle itself.
The two hitches are visually very similar and would install in the same manner, but if I had to choose between the two, I'd go with the Curt # C13416 because Curt does a slightly better job on their powder coat and because the hitch itself is manufactured in the USA (though the hardware could be from elsewhere).
If you'll be towing with the hitch, you'll also need a # C56434 trailer wiring harness, a # D-28 ball mount along with a # PC3 hitch pin and a # 19260 1-7/8 or a # 63845 2 inch hitch ball.
