Question:

The Blue Ox tow bar I have in my possession is the BX7322.. Would the adapter plates still be compatible with this tow bar?

Thanks for that photo, and since you have a bumper with D-ring attachments, you would not need base plates; in fact, base plates wouldn't be able to be installed, so instead you would need a bumper adapter that attaches to the D-ring attachments.

Your bumper does need to be rated for flat towing so you'll need to check with the manufacturer to ensure that if you're not certain, but if it is, and if the bumper has a 1" or 7/8" pin hole and the tab is 3/4", 7/8", or 1" then what you will need for a Blue Ox tow bar is the following:

- 1" Pin Hole: Blue Ox Aftermarket Bumper Adapter # BX88358

- 7/8" Pin Hole: Blue Ox Aftermarket Off-Road Bumper Adapter # BX88357

Glad you asked because the Blue Ox Aftermarket Bumper Adapter # BX88358 is NOT compatible with your Blue Ox Adventurer Tow Bar # BX7322. The reason why is this adapter is only compatible with the arms on a motorhome-mounted tow bar, which means the tow bar inserts in your motorhome's hitch receiver. So what you will need instead is a different Blue Ox tow bar: - Blue Ox Alpha 2 Non-Binding Tow Bar # BX7380 This is compatible with the Blue Ox Aftermarket Bumper Adapter # BX88358 so you can tow your Jeep.
