Class V Hitch With Drop For 34 Inch Frame Rails on Custom Truck
Question:
I’m building a custom off road truck with 34” wide frame rails, outside to outside. I’m looking for a receiver similar to your 15300 or 15410. I want it to drop and extend rearward. Either of those would work well. However, i have searched literally for hours and cannot find one website with the width specs. What do you offer? Thank you

We definitely have some options that will work for you, though in regards to the specific hitches you asked about, the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C15300 is 36 inches between the bolt holes, while the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C15410 measures 34 inches between the bolt holes. So neither is going to fit 34 inch wide outside-to-outside frame rails, which makes sense as these are custom-fit hitches.
What you can use instead is a universal weld-on hitch that doesn't require that specific of a measurement, they have brackets that adjust along the crosstube to fit your application. They are all Class V hitches with a drop and fit frame widths up to 44 inches wide:
- 3" Drop: Curt Class V Universal Weld-on Receiver Hitch and Brackets # 15901
- 7" Drop: Draw-Tite Ultra Frame Service Body Trailer Hitch Receiver - Class V # 41990-07
- 10-7/8" Drop: Curt Class V Universal Weld-on Receiver Hitch and Brackets # 15902
