Will the Fastway e2 Weight Distribution Hitch Fit in 2 Inch Hitch on 2021 Jeep Gladiator
Question:
My Jeep gladiator has a tongue weight of 600 pounds , the Fastway E2 hitch I ordered is 8K with 800 pound tongue weight but my installer told me a little overkill on the tongue weight would be ok. The reason I want this model is the trunnions don’t sit as low as the round bars , will this E2 be a problem for me down the road ? Thank you

Weight distribution hitches like the Fastway e2 # FA92-00-0800 should be chosen based off of the tongue weight and GVWR of the trailer that will be towed and not the tow vehicle; generally speaking, any weight distribution hitch can be used on a trailer being towed by your 2021 Jeep Gladiator as long as it has a 2 inch shank to fit your hitch. You'll normally want your trailer's tongue weight to fall somewhere in the middle of the prescribed tongue weight range of the weight distribution system.
The Fastway e2 # FA92-00-0800 is designed to be used on trailers with tongue weights between 400-lbs and 800-lbs, and a GVWR of no more than 8000-lbs; as long as your trailer falls within those specs then the Fastway e2 # FA92-00-0800 is a great choice that provides 2 point sway control.
If your trailer doesn't match up with the specs on the Fastway system and you can provide the tongue weight and GVWR of your trailer, I can help you locate a more appropriately rated weight distribution system.
