Recommended Weight Distribution System for a 6,500 lbs Trailer
Question:
How are you? I need some help ing a weight distribution hitch. I have a 2018 Lexus GX460 which is rated to tow 6500 lbs. The owners manual also says weight distribution hitch required for more than 5000lbs. Im planning on towing our new grand design imagine 2500rl 5800 lbs dry with the GX460 occasionally, which weight distribution hitch do I need? I have the oem tow hitch. For reference my tongue weight is 650lbs. Thanks in advance.

Since you're keeping your trailer's tongue weight around 650 lbs, I recommend the Fastway e2 Weight Distribution w/ 2-Point Sway Control item # FA92-00-0800. This system works with trailer's that have a tongue weight range from 400 lbs - 800 lbs. The e2 has built in two point sway control that will help keep your trailer in line with your Lexus when you are driving down the highway.
I have linked an installation video below so you can see how this system is set up.
This system does not include a hitch ball. Depending on your coupler size you will either need a 2" Hitch Ball item # A-90 or a 2-5/16" hitch ball item # C40030.
