Installation of Curt Hitch for 2014 Jeep Cherokee Limited without Weld Nuts or Existing Hardware
Question:
Hi I just received Order #112117039 and according to my instructions it says trail hawk only. and I believe When I ordered hitch I ordered excluding Trail Hawk. I entered a jeep Cherokee but wasnt able to put limited anywhere. and I was given a hitch that says it fits a 2014 jeep Cherokee. but some of the holes in frame of my car does not have any threaded holes . Just holes in frame with no threads. where bracket from Figure 1 the M14 bolts can not be screwed into frame. There are just big holes. I am of the belief i have the wrong frame. I wonder if you could let me know if I have the right frame for a 2014 Jeep Cherokee limited.

I can confirm that the Curt # C13172 you ordered is a confirmed fit on the 2014 Jeep Cherokee Limited, so you've got the correct hitch. On vehicles where there are not bolts already in the frame, the weld nuts are not present. However, you won't need the weld nuts since the carriage bolts and flange nuts included will be used to install this hitch. You'll need to fish wire or reverse fish wire the bolts into place depending on their position, and then torque down the flange nuts to complete the installation.
If you check out the installation instructions in Figure 5 and 6 it shows some photos of this process; I've also attached a photo of that page for you to check out, but this hitch will fit on your 2014 Jeep Cherokee Limited.
