Which Trim Panel Needs Removal to Install Trailer Hitch on 2020 Mazda CX-5 GT
Question:
I see in your product description, it says for GT models of the 2020 Mazda CX5 there's a trim panel that needs to be taken off. Can you tell me where that is?

Absolutely! The panel in question is the small, narrow trim piece that sits between the bottom of the bumper fascia and the muffler as shown beginning at the 3:10 mark in the linked video. I've also linked to the installation instructions as well as provided photos captured from the instructions. This piece prevents a hitch like the Curt # C13315 from being installed, so it would need removal.
If you'll be towing with the hitch, you'll need a few other items to complete your towing system. For a trailer wiring harness, use # 118746. You'll also need a ball mount like part # 2753 and a trailer ball like # 19260 for a 1-7/8 or # 63845 for a 2 inch hitch.
