Where to Find Rating of a Trailer Hitch Receiver
Question:
Where do I find the hitch class rating on a 2020 Chevy Silverado 1500? I don’t see any sticker on the actual hitch. Thank you!

A hitch will always have an ID sticker on it listing its capacities for standard towing and towing when used with weight distribution, even an OEM hitch should have this information on it somewhere, perhaps on the back of the hitch crossbar.
The aftermarket hitches we offer for the 2020 Silverado 1500 are Class III and IV. The class III hitches like # DT42RR have a towing capacity of around 6000 lbs or 10000 lbs if used with weight distribution. The class IV hitches such as # C13393 have a capacity of 10000 lbs or 12000 lbs with weight distribution.
If you can't find a sticker on your OEM hitch, your Chevy dealer would be the best resource, as I was not able to find anything that addressed the rating of the OEM hitch in the owner's manual.
