To determine the appropriate replacement slipper spring you would need there are a few measurements that are crucial. In order to get these measurements the current spring cannot have a load on it.
If you have already removed the slipper spring from the trailer that works great. Or you can measure while it is on the trailer, just make sure that when you jack the trailer up you do so by the trailer frame. Also, make sure it is safe and secure before taking your measurements.
The measurements that are needed are the as follows:
A - Length from center of eye to end of the spring with the slipper (This is the most important measurement and it allows for slight variations in this measurement because the springs can sag and elongate as a result of wear.
B - Length from center of eye to highest point of slipper end
C - Height from top center of spring to center of eye
D - Length from center of eye to middle of the spring
I have included a link to our helpful articles regarding slipper spring trailer suspension, this shows the measurements needed.
With the information that you provided to replace your 2 inch wide slipper springs for your 6000 pound axle, we offer one option, the 5-Leaf Slipper Spring with Hook End for 6,000 Pound Trailer Axles # e67SR. The measurements on this spring are (A) 27 inches, (B) 24-1/4 inches, (C) 3-1/2 inches, and (D) 11-7/8 inches. Please make sure that these measurements corresponds to your current spring measurements to serve as a replacement part.
Please note that this item does include a nylon bushing, although it does not include either the mounting hangers (which I assume you currently have on our trailer), or an eye bolt. I would recommend the Redline Spring Eye Bolt Part # 166079.
I have included links to the parts listed above.
