As far as wiring for your 2005 Toyota Highlander Limited with tow prep, the part you need to use the 7-way on your trailer is the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7. If you do not have a 4-way connector, you will also need the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118413. In addition, you will need a brake controller. The Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller # 90195 you looked at was a good choice. The Prodigy comes with 3 boost levels that let you adjust initial braking power and aggressiveness. It also includes constant diagnostic check alerts. With your 2005 Toyota Highlander, your vehicle does not have a pre-installed wiring system for your brake controller. For that reason, there isn't a customly-designed wiring harness that will work for your vehicle.

As far as the installation of the brake controller, the installation kit # ETBC7 will give you all the parts that you need to install the controller. From the brake controller that you will mount by your steering wheel, there are four different wires that you will have to install into your 7-way. The wires that you need to route are the brake (blue wire), battery (+ - black wire), brake stop lights (red wire), and the ground (- - white wire). I attached the wire setup diagram to this answer. Also, I included an installation video of a 2010 Toyota Highlander to give you some guidance. For more information on the installation process and what is involved, I also linked a help article.
