Can 5 Year Old Trailer Tires that Were Covered and Look Good be Used

Question:

I have two CR857+ 235/r75/15’s on my Rockwood Extreme with about 2k miles on them but they are 5 years old and have been covered. Do I have any life left in them. No visible cracks etc…

With trailer tires they say that they need to be replaced between 4 and 6 years of age due to them breaking down over time. Since yours were covered mostly and there are no visible signs of failure I would easily think you'd be able to get the max year range of 6 from what you have. I'd just keep an eye on them.

In your tire size of 235/80R16 we have the great # WST54FR for if you were to need a replacement.
