Trailer Hitch and Wiring Recommendation for 2000 Honda CR-V
Question:
I have a 2000 Honda CR-V. I will be pulling a trailer with 2 dirt bikes. the bikes weigh about 250 lbs each and I dont think the trailer will weigh more than 500 lbs. What receiver and wiring would you recommend for me? I dont know what the rise will be as I havent bought a trailer yet. I may need a 1 7/8inch ball. Thank you,

For towing a trailer with your 2000 Honda CR-V the best option for a hitch would be the Curt Class III part # 13314 which is the more popular and higher weight rated 2 inch hitch size.
You will need trailer wiring to cover the lights of the trailer when towing so for that the best option is the Tekonsha part # 118336 as it has the easiest install and the most reliable converter box.
For a ball mount solution the part # EBMK4EL would be a solid choice as it has a 4 inch drop and ability to easily switch between hitch ball sizes of 2 inch and 1-7/8 inch.
