Does etrailer Hitch For 2018 Subaru Outback Include Wiring Harness & Ball Mount
Question:
Does the towing package include all of the wiring I need or is something else needed? Do I need to buy the pin and the hitch cover separately? I want to be able to use our bike rack on the hitch, but also to be able to pull a small trailer. Therefore, I also need the piece that you can put a ball on the the ball itself. I assume this is a separate add on to the order over and above the towing package - Correct? Thank you.

We do have everything you need for your 2018 Subaru Outback to tow a small trailer as well as use your bike rack, and while I'm not sure what towing package you're referencing specifically, I can tell you that the hitch, wiring, and ball mount are indeed sold separately. Here is exactly what you'll need for your '18 Outback:
- etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98847
- Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C56040
- Curt Towing Starter Kit for 2" Hitches # C45534
The Curt Towing Starter Kit actually includes everything you need, with the ball mount, hitch ball, hitch lock, hitch pin, and hitch receiver cover. The 2" hitch ball is pre-installed on the ball mount as well, so it will be ready to use immediately.
