Should I Get A Trunk Bike Rack Or A Hitch Bike Rack On My 2019 Acura RDX?

Hello, Im looking at the Yakima Fullback 2 compared to this rack for my Acura RDX 2019. Both racks appear to be highly recommended. I do like that the Rockymounts does not rest against the paint. I dont have a trailer hitch. Any thoughts on recommendation for one over the other? I did just order the Yakima from etrailer, but having second thoughts.

A trunk-mounted bike rack, such as the Yakima FullBack 2 Bike Rack # Y02634, is nice and easy to use since it doesn't require a trailer hitch receiver. It also does not add as much length to your vehicle which will aid in parking in tight spots. This is specifically designed to be used with vehicles that have spoilers, such as your 2019 Acura RDX, and you can rest assured that no damage to the spoiler will occur. This does not make contact with the paint of your vehicle so you won't have to worry about that.
The only time I would recommend going with a trailer hitch mounted bike rack instead would be if you plan to carry 3-4 bikes or heavy bikes. In this case, you would definitely benefit from installing a trailer hitch receiver such as Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # C95CR. Then you can install various 2" receiver accessories like the RockyMounts MonoRail 2 Bike Platform Rack - 2" Hitches # RKY10004 ot Hollywood Racks Destination Bike Rack for 4 Bikes - 2" Hitches # HR4000 for 4 bikes.
