Recommended Platform Bike Rack For 2015 Dodge Challenger With Draw-Tite Traielr Hitch 76145

Hi, Im having the Draw-Tite Receiver Class III installed on my 2015 Dodge Challenger in a few weeks. I want to buy a platform bike rack. Do I need to be careful about which rack I buy since my concerns are: 1. I want to make sure the rack clears the bumper when folded. 2. I also want to make sure that the bike pedals easily clear the bumper enough when loading/unloading. Also, would you recommend that I wait until I actually have the hitch receiver installed before buying a rack so I can be absolutely sure of the measurements?

Since we have already installed the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver # 76145 you were looking at on a similar 2018 Dodge Challenger we already have the required measurements on hand.

With the hitch installed you will have 6" from the center of the hitch pin hole to the most outward edge of the rear bumper, and only 9-1/4" from the ground to the top inside edge of the receiver so you will need a rack with a raised shank.

I recommend the Hollywood Racks Trail Rider Bike Rack for 2 Bikes # HR200Z which has a raised shank to give you additional ground clearance when going up or down a steep incline, and will give you over 6" of clearance to the rear bumper when folded or in use so no need to worry about the bikes or rack contacting the vehicle.

This rack is capable of support two bikes weighing up to 45lbs each with tires up to 3" wide.
