Which Gas Shock Do I Need For Baggage Doors To Keep Open In Stiff Breeze
Question:
I want it to stay open in a stiff breeze, but also for my small child to be able to close it. I have a 2016 Keystone Bullet Premier Ultra Lite.

Typically the existing shock is a good way to determine what is needed for replacement; the weight of the door being held, the length of the shock and the angle they're installed at all have effect on the force required to close the door. In most cases there's a spec sticker with the pressure on the shock; if you've got a 40-lbs shock you may need something like the Gas Shock - 40 lb Force - 20" Extended, 11.41" Compressed - Black Nitride # 372-5300-40.
If you can provide us with a part number or information from the spec sticker on your existing shock, or any identifying information I can help you locate a shock that would work.
