Determining How Much Lift to Get From JR Gas Shocks

Question:

How do I determine the force for a replacement gas shock? Not sure what the OEM was, but it is a 20/11.41. For a RV entry door. 120 lbs, 50, ??? Thanks

You can set a scale under the ramp to get an idea how much lift support you'd want from the shock setup if this is a ramp style door that folds down. We have these shocks from 150 lbs like the # 372-2300-120 all the way down to 20 lbs. I attached a link to a page that has all of the options we carry.

If this is a different configuration of a door like one that opens to the side you'd need to check with the trailer manufacturer to determine what you'd need.
