Is the cargo carrier safe to drive on the highway? Does it have a speed maximum limit?

Yes, the MaxxTow 30x50 Wheelchair Carrier w/ 60" Long Ramp is safe to use on the highway when properly fastened. There is no recommended maximum speed limit for the carrier. If you need straps to make sure your wheelchair is secure, I recommend the Erickson Re-Tractable Ratchet Straps w/ Push Button Releases # EM34415.
