Load Leveling Suspension Enhancement Recommendation for 2015 Ram 1500
Question:
I have a 2015 ram 1500 crew cab shortened with 5.7L and 3.92 gear ratio. I occasionally tow a travel trailer with 1,000lb hitch weight and use an equalizer hitch 14,000lb version. When hooked up, the truck is not leveled despite an aggressive setup on the equalizer hitch. Thus my question is what would be my best option to add a little spring to the rear end to level things out? I was looking at the airlift 1000 the 2,100 lb capacity ones.

From what you describe I think you are on the right the track with an adjustable helper spring being added. We have the Air Lift 1000 Air Helper Springs for Coil Springs, # AL60818 that are a great option, see the linked product review and installation videos.

However, I would consider going up one step with the HD version and select the Air Lift 1000 Heavy Duty Air Helper Springs, # AL60818HD that provides up to 2,100 lbs of load-leveling support with adjustable air pressure from 5 psi - 50 psi.
While there is a slight price point difference between the two, the installation will process and time involved will be equivalent but the HD version providing greater adjustability.
