Hyundai Palisade 7 Pin Connector Wiring
Question:
Im in the process of installing a Stealth hitch on my Palisade. There is a discrepancy in the diagram for hooking the wires to the plug. Printing on the back side of the plug is different than the picture showing which color wire goes where in the printed instruction sheet. Stamping on the plastic plug calls for a different color wire than what is listed in the printed instructions. I am inclined to install according to the stamping on the plug as I find it hard to believe that the plug would be wrong.

Just spoke with my rep at Stealth Hitch about your Stealth Hitches Hidden Rack Receiver item # 391HYUNPALIS19. There are several different versions of that receptacle that are all physically the same, but have different markings for wire colors depending on the country and specifications they follow. I would strongly advise you to disregard the markings on the receptacle plug and follow the instructions in the manual.
He went on to say on page 9 of 11 in the instruction manual, which shows how to wire the 7 way receptacle, there is a notice that states “ Markings on the receptacle may not match the correct wire configuration. Please disregard and follow the instructions”.
