Expert Reply:

The mounting brackets of the Curt TruTrack Weight Distribution Hitch # C17501 you were looking at will be placed roughly 33" back from the center of the hitch ball location in the coupler of your trailer.

If your A-Frame is too short to accommodate this length you will need to go with the Curt Short-Arm Weight Distribution System with Sway Control # C17422 which will have mounting brackets installed roughly 28" back from the center of the coupler.

Both of these hitches are rated for 1000-1500lbs of total tongue weight so you will need to verify that your setups total tongue weight falls in that range. Total tongue weight is the tongue weight of your fully loaded and ready to tow trailer plus the weight of any cargo behind the rear axle of your tow vehicle. The easiest way to get an accurate tongue weight measurement is with a scale like the # e99044, but there are other methods outlined in the included help article.

If you find you have a total tongue weight that is not in the 1000-1500lb range just let me know.

I included videos of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
