Recommendation For Installing The Winch On The Viking Solutions SwiveLift Loading System
Question:
Ive had this item for over a year and really need to use it but cannot figure out how to assemble it. In order to attach the winch to the column you have to put a washer and nut at least 4 in inside a 2 in square pipe. And all this time Ive never found anyone with long enough skinny enough fingers to do this. Ive tried different tools to accomplish this with no luck. I called Viking solutions and couldnt get an answer there either.

To install the winch on your Viking Solutions SwiveLift Loading System # 310-VSL001 I recommend finding a long enough 8mm wrench and placing some tape over one side to hold the nut in place and lay the washer on top of the wrench to get it lined up with hole and put the bolt in.

The winch install is the dumbest most cumbersome design I have even encountered. It is literally impossible to attach the bolt furthest from the opening. Moreover, the advice given is cumbersome and still difficult to attach and impossible to tighten (note that the instructions say that the washer and nut go inside the tube). On youtube the winch slides into the tube rather than attaching to it. This is a much better design. I am totally disappointed with the design and resulting lack of stability of the winch.
