Will 2-1/2" Weight Distribution Shank # EQ90-02-4800 Work With 2" Weight Distribution Hitch?

I want to know does the section on the 2-1/2” hitch go back down to 2” so I can put my weight distribution head on it?

It sure does!
The only section of the Equal-i-zer Weight Dist Shank - 2-1/2" Hitch - 8" Rise, 4" Drop # EQ90-02-4800 that is 2-1/2" is the portion that goes inside of the 2-1/2" receiver on your 2018 Ford F-250.
The section that the weight distribution hitch head goes on is the exact same size as your your current shank that fits a 2" receiver so you will not have any issues.
