RetraxONE XR Compatible Ladder Rack and Roof Rack Accessory Recommended for 2020 Ford Ranger

Looking at Retrax One XR cover for my 2020 Ford Ranger. I want to pair this with a ladder rack to carry a RTT Yakima sky rise or Smittybilt Overlander . Which ladder rack will work best for adding a RTT? Are the 60 in cross bars enough? Will pairing the ladder rack with the Retrax system affect the weight limitations for the ladder rack? Secondly, what roof rack systems aside from just cross bars can I add to the roof of my truck to carry additional gear, kayaks, bikes, ect....Thanks!

The # RTT-60335 RetraxONE XR hard tonneau cover you'd looked at would be a great choice for your 2019 Ford Ranger. For a ladder rack, I'd recommend the Yakima OverHaul HD, part # Y01151-58. You'll also need the adapter mount, part # Y01155 which allows the ladder rack to mount to the rails incorporated into the RetraxONE XR tonneau cover. Yakima tells me that the 68 inch crossbars included with this ladder rack are what's recommended for the Ranger pickup, and would be compatible with the Yakima SkyRise tent like part # Y07436.

For a rack on the roof of your Ranger, I'd recommend a Yakima rack. The rack needed will depend on whether your Ranger has a bare roof or the rails mounted front to back along the edge of the roof.

For a rack on the vehicle's roof, I'd recommend the Yakima JetStream rack, which would consist of these parts:

• 50 inch JetStream crossbars, part # Y00425
• BaseLine Roof Rack Towers, part # Y28TR
• Vehicle Specific Fit Clip Kit, part # Y06124

You wouldn't want to use the rack on the truck roof for mounting a tent (use the ladder rack for that), but Yakima offers tons of different roof rack accessories for carrying bikes and kayaks. For a bike rack, I really like the Yakima # Y02103 FrontLoader, which wouldn't require you to remove the bikes front wheel. The carrier would be compatible with the JetStream roof rack. For kayaks, you cannot go wrong with the Yakima JayLow, part # Y04073.
