B&W Companion OEM 5th-Wheel Hitch # BWRVK3300 Isn't Sitting Level When Hooked Up

Question:

The plate on the BW is not level when hooked up. It slants slightly toward the bed. The hitch is in the lowest position and rearward. 2017 F350 with OEM Puck System. Also have a flex air trailer hitch system. Ive always thought the trailer plates should be pretty close to level when hooked up. They are off about 5-10 degrees. Any help is appreciated.

The B&W Companion OEM 5th-Wheel Hitch for Ford Super Duty Prep Package # BWRVK3300 has a full articulation feature that allows the coupler (plate) to move front to back and even some side to side. There is a hydraulic piston on the side that helps get the coupler leveled back out side to side. As far as front to back is concerned it is going to sit a little one way or the other depending on how level the ground your on is. There is a spring that keeps the coupler head from being pushed too far forward but as far as away from the cab is concerned there is a bit more play than any other direction. I have included a video that does a pretty good job at explaining this.
