Will Flat Towing a Vehicle In Neutral Hurt the Transmission

will it not fry the auto tran to flat tow it all you do is put it in nutral and go are you sure ? on vw

The best way to determine if a vehicle with an automatic transmission can be flat towed is to consult the owners manual under the towing section to see what restrictions they list for the vehicle. Some vehicles only require that the vehicle be put in neutral whereas some vehicles will require lube pumps or drive shaft disconnects.
