Troubleshooting Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch 76112 On 2020 Toyota Sienna XLW AWD Hitting Tailpipe

Question:

I recently purchased and installed a part number 76112 Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2inch on a 2020 Toyota Sienna XLW AWD, and I appear to have a fit issue. The tailpipe of the exhaust system is making contact with the Hitch Receiver frame on the passenger side. I have double checked the installation and had another person check it, and I appear to have installed the Hitch Receiver correctly. Do you have any suggestions for what I can do to prevent the tailpipe from contacting the Hitch Receiver frame? The Hitch Receiver is centered on the vehicle, and the tailpipe appears to line up centered with the vehicle trim. Thanks

I am sorry to hear that the tailpipe on your 2020 Toyota Sienna XLW AWD is contacting the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver # 76112 you installed.

There is not a lot of space on your vehicle between where the tailpipe sits and the trailer hitch receiver installs, so this is not an unheard of issue.

We actually have made a help article that goes over a few of the best ways to correct such an issue. I recommend starting with bending the hanger as it has no cost involved and can give you the results you are needing.

I went ahead and included a link to the help article mentioned and a video of the # 76112 being installed for you to take a look at.
