I have a 2008 Monta Vista fifth wheel and the front jack gave way when unhitching it from the pickup. What would be the replacement landing gear?

We can help you determine the correct replacement landing gear for your Monta Vista, though landing gear is a universal type of fit, and there isn't specific landing gear that fits your trailer. So in order to determine the correct replacement landing gear, all you will need you will need to do is measure the distance mounting brackets on your trailer from the underside of the top bracket to the top of the lower bracket as shown in the diagram. From there you will be able to choose the amount of lift and weight capacity that will work for you.
For example, the if your landing gear brackets have the standard dimensions of 17-1/2" from bracket to bracket, and you need 34-7/8" of lift and a 6,500 lb capacity, you can go with a set of landing gear from Stromberg Carlson:
- Stromberg Carlson Electric Landing Gear Set # LG-3
I have also added a link below to a video review of this landing gear to take a look at, and a link to our selection of landing gear should you need a different option.
