Question:

Hello. I am trying to get as much information for my travel trailer axles. My trailer was built by Pacific Coach Works in Perris Ca. The frame serial number is 5UTS2620FR01761. The Axle number is  AXLEBEAM 045-AXLE FBA V000113192 built 07/24/14 The travel trailer is a 2015 Pacific Coachworks 21FBS I want to flip my axle however before I try this I need the axle size to make sure I purchase the proper kit. Is it a 3 inch axle or larger or smaller. Attached is the sticker I found on my axle and the serial number for mt trailer frame. Any help provided would be great.

If you have round axles with either 2-3/8" or 3" diameter, and your current suspension system is installed below the axle then you can use either the Dexter Trailer Springs Over-Under Conversion Kit # K71-384-00 for 2-3/8" diameter axle. Or use the # K71-385-00 kit for a 3" diameter axle.

From the info you provided I can not determine the size axle you have. However, you can easily measure to determine size. Using a digital caliper similar to Item # PTW80157 is ideal, but a simple tape measure works too. I also suggest you check for any other tags that may be attached and provide additional information. Although a search of your trailer, 2015 Pacific Coachworks 21FBS, did not provide me definitive axle size it does show that you have a two axle trailer with a GVWR of 7,500 lbs.

Some common axle sizes are:

Round, 1-3/4 inch diameter = 2,000-lb axle
Round, 2-3/8 inch diameter = 3,500-lb or 4,400-lb axle
Round, 3 inch diameter = 5,200-lb to 7,000-lb axle
