Question:
Hello, I have a 2005 Ford Excursion with a factory roof rack and tracks. I want to make sure before ordering anything that I get the correct rack for my needs. Will this platform fit on my factory roof rack tracks and will it support the weights of the Smittybilt GEN2 Overlander Tent XL? Thanks.

You can get a platform on your roof of your 2005 Ford Excursion but the one you're looking at # RR78AB is a track mount and factory crossbars do not have t-tracks on top. What you need is a kit that wraps around your crossbars like this one # RR42115BF. This is the heavest duty roof rack you can put on your car so it will be able to support the static weight of your Smittybilt GEN2 Overlander Tent XL.
