Torque & Wrench Size For Using Curt Ball Mount C45036 in Rise Position
Question:
I have two questions I havent seen answered related to flipping the ball on a Curt C45306 or similar: 1. What is the torque spec on torqueing the nut after flipping and reinstalling the ball on a C45306? 2. What is the nut diameter?

Expert Reply:
What you would need is a 1-1/2 inch wrench for the nut, and tighten it to 250 ft-lb of torque for the Curt Class III Ball Mount with 2" Ball # C45036.
This can be used in the rise position if you'd like by flipping it, just like you said. This ball mount does come with a pin and clip, but if you'd like to lock it in your hitch for added security, you can do so by adding the Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock for 2" Hitches # e98880.
I have added a link below to a video review for you to check out as well of the Curt Class III Ball Mount # C45036.
